Front Teeth Implantation
What is the difference between implantation of the anterior group of teeth, that is, in the frontal area? This zone can be called a zone of increased requirements for aesthetics and you can not be mistaken here. So, the wrong step in treatment can lead to a number of additional costs.
For example, if a patient can still delay his treatment somehow without a chewing tooth (a tooth, or rather its absence is not particularly visible), then if a tooth is lost in the anterior area, the patient sometimes even tries to make an appointment with the dentist even at night to solve the problem as soon as possible.
Without accurate implant planning, accurate diagnosis and the ability of a doctor, it is impossible to obtain a positive aesthetic result. The beauty of a smile depends on this.
At iStomatolog, we use modern high-quality materials that are practically inert to the patient when prosthetics and bioactive when implanted. We devote a lot of time and money to attending courses of the leading implantologists of the world and the latest equipment. We try to keep up to date, and if it works out, we even get ahead of it a little.
To achieve high aesthetic results, it is advisable to install the implant according to an instant procedure (tooth extraction with simultaneous implantation and prosthetics with a temporary crown) and fix the temporary crown from PMMA immediately. This will save bone tissue and preserve the pink aesthetics (smile line), that is, the gum.
It is very important that the implant is installed with a clearly defined force (torque) and at the right angle. That is, when installing the implant it is necessary to feel the resistance of the bone sharply, and this comes only with experience, otherwise it will not be possible to install a crown on it at once, and plastic will be required for further restoration of the bone and gingival margin, which means much more time and money.
From our own experience, we can say that implantation in the frontal section is much more complicated and interesting, since this work requires extreme accuracy, planning skills and the ability to see longterm results, as well as special (individual) skills.
How much does a front tooth implant cost at iStomatolog?
The cost of dental implants in iStomatolog starts from 600 euros. This includes:
- individual set of Anti-AIDS;
- removal of a tooth;
- temporary crown;
- temporary abutment;
- removal of sutures is the work of the doctor and assistants.
That is, it is the cost of a comprehensive implantation of a tooth with all the necessary manipulations.
Of the additional costs that sometimes appear are bone substitute (from 100 euros), membranes (from 80 euros). Used when there is not enough volume of our bone and we need to augment this area, that is, bone grafting.
For any implantation, the implant must be installed with a smaller diameter and placed a few millimeters below the bone level in order to obtain a beautiful result of white (tooth) and pink (gum) smiles in the future. This will further save the doctor’s time and patient’s funds, as there will be no need to perform gum repair.
We prefer Swiss dental implant companies that have been manufacturing them for over 20 years and which are time-tested. Such companies have their own factories and factories for their manufacture. We also offer patients a low-budget option that has proven itself (for example, dental implants of the
Korean manufacturer Dentis).
We try to cooperate with companies that give a real guarantee on their product. Nevertheless, no matter what system you choose, a lot depends on the specialist, the patient’s body and the fulfillment of all doctor’s appointments.
Let us return to the installation of the crown on the implant. This can be done in one visit, but not in all cases. If there are contraindications (narrow crest, lack of normal bone volume, and so on) so that the patient does not walk without a tooth, we install a retainer (temporary tooth) instead of the crown, which is fixed on adjacent teeth and does not damage soft tissues. This temporary prosthesis has worked well it replenishes the dentition, and it looks good.
Does it happen when the implant does not take root? What are the complications?
In fact, implants can be rejected for various reasons, and the doctor should not be afraid to voice this to the patient. After all, we introduce a foreign body into the human body. Many rejections occur due to non-compliance with the doctor's recommendations, very poor hygiene and the like. In our center, implants take root in 96-97% of cases.
In addition, a lot depends on the quality of the upper part of the implant tooth, that is, the abutment and crown (the part that is screwed onto the implant). It should be extremely accurate, without hanging on the gum and, preferably, use individual abutments (from zirconium dioxide) this will avoid visible gray in the cervical region of the front tooth, as the standard titanium abutment is visible through the gum.
What about bone grafting in the anterior section?
When a tooth is removed, bone care occurs almost always. Especially when the patient’s tooth is missing for a long time or was lost due to injury. That is why we recommend not rushing to remove the tooth, but first consult with the implantologist so that he determines the sequence of procedures and helps you save the bone and your budget.
But, if you missed this moment and still removed the tooth, you should not be upset, even in this case.
As a rule, implantation is carried out simultaneously, but with bone grafting. This saves the patient time and effort, as well as maintaining the shape of the gums, which is very important for obtaining an aesthetic result.
Do I need to especially care for implants in the anterior section?
Caring for frontal implants should be the same as for your teeth or for implants in other areas of your oral cavity. Be sure to visit the hygienist once every six months, as well as come for an examination. And, of course, follow the doctor’s recommendations: at first, do not load the implant heavily. A particularly dangerous period for loading on the implant is from 4 to 6 weeks. During this period, osseointegration (bone formation around the implant) decreases by almost half. And it is during this period that the implant may fall out.
Use irrigators in your practice to brush your teeth. We recommend Jetpik irrigators.
After the main stages of dental implantation have been completed the implant will take root and a permanent crown will be installed, it can be used like your usual tooth. As for the service life, implants are almost forever (if you follow the doctor’s recommendations).
